Marketing for musicians

Your fans love you. Give them more.

Work with Limelight and we cover the gig and the recording, plus the road in between. We photograph and film it, then design around it and share it. Your fans get closer to the music, and you get back to making it.

SOUND FAMILIAR?“We play the best gigs of our lives, and there’s nothing to show for it.”

You play a packed room and nail the set. Next morning, all you’ve got is a shaky phone clip. Fans want to relive nights like that and be part of what comes next. Without the photos and films, the moment’s gone. So is the chance to win new fans from it.

Watch the 40-second version, sound on.
EVERY MOMENT, CAPTURED

From soundcheck to the last song.

We come with you. Our team photographs and films the whole story, from loading the van and the soundcheck to the set and the crowd singing back. Studio sessions too, and the quiet moments in between.

Then we turn it into the things fans want. Press shots and live photos. Music videos, Reels and TikToks. Posters and posts. You’ll always have something new to share.

The gig

From load-in and soundcheck to the encore. We photograph and film from the side of the stage and the back of the room, crowd included.

The recording

Studio days filmed as they happen, from the early takes and tweaks to the moment the track clicks.

The road

Life in the van and the green room. The venues, and the people you meet on the way. Fans hardly ever see this part.

The release

Artwork and video, cut into clips, with a plan that stretches it over weeks of posts and emails. Ads too.

HOW IT WORKS

From first chat to a bigger following.

01

We listen

We get to know your sound and your fans, and what’s next for you: a single or an album, a tour or more bookings.

02

We plan

We agree the plan and scope with you, and the fee, before any work begins.

03

We capture

We shoot your gigs and studio days. Then we edit and design it all and get it scheduled.

04

You grow

More streams and more tickets sold, with fans who feel they’re part of the story.

QUESTIONS MUSICIANS ASK

Marketing for musicians, answered.

What does a music marketing agency do for independent artists?

It helps you find fans and keep them. For us that means photography and video as well as artwork and a website. Social media and advertising come into it too, all planned around your releases and gigs. We do the lot in-house, so it all sounds and looks like you.

Can you come to our gigs and recording sessions?

Yes. It’s the heart of what we do. We photograph and film on the night, in the studio or on the road, and turn it into weeks of content.

Do you work with bands, solo artists and function bands?

Yes. We work with singer-songwriters and DJs as well as bands. Wedding and function bands too. The plan depends on how your audience, or your clients, find you.

How much does music marketing cost?

Stop thinking of marketing as a cost. Treat it as one and you cut yourself off from a critical part of your business, and turn it into a negative. See it as an opportunity. Better still, see it this way round: not marketing is the lost opportunity. A website fans can’t find means hundreds of streams, tickets and sign-ups that never happen. Social media that’s quiet most of the year falls flat on release day, just when you need it. We don’t sell off-the-shelf packages. It might be one gig or shoot, or an ongoing plan around a release; after a short conversation we’ll recommend what will make the biggest difference and give you a clear quote.

Do you only work in Lincolnshire?

No. We’re based in Lincolnshire, and we regularly travel across the UK for gigs and studio sessions, and to see clients.
